Oyo Assembly To Commence Screening of Commissioner Nominees Next week – Hon. Ashimiyu Alarape

The Oyo state house of assembly is set to commence screening of all commissioner nominees by next week.


Hon. Ashimiyu Alarape the former speaker and the minority leader of the current 9th assembly made this submission while speaking with our correspondent today at the oyo state house of assembly complex, secretariat Ibadan.



The Honourable speaker of Oyo state house of assembly Rgt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin had last week Announced names of all commissioner nominees sent to the house for screening by the executive governor of Oyo state Engr. Seyi Makinde. The Speaker after reading out the names directed all the nominees to submit fourteen copies of their CV’s to the house,  the sumission period is said to have lapsed today Friday 2nd August.


Hon. Alarape stated that the house has been very busy all week and it is all tailored towards reducing the huge workload before the house to enable it commence screening of all the commissioner nominees by next week.


He however commended the executive arm of government on how they have carried on with government functions with such pace since its assumption of office, noting that the house will continue to give all necesaary support to the governor in its bid to set Oyo state on accelerated pace
